For the past 7 years, I have been serving the dogs and families of Halifax and surrounding area as a K9 trainer and provider of Boarding and Wilderness pack walk daily adventures. I love connecting with dogs and creating everlasting relationships. I provide for your pet as if it were my own, and ensure that it receives the highest quality care while you're at work or away from home. At 4PAWSHFX, every dog is encouraged to experience it's happiest, healthiest self with ample exercise and socializing.

As a K9 trainer & breeder of Vizslas I have a vast knowledge of dogs. I have had exposure to many different breeds, gaining the ability to understand and connect with each dog in a unique way. As a former K9 trainer/handler of CWD's (Contract working dogs) I have a deep understanding of the canine psyche. Through many years of working with all kinds of different breeds, I am able to apply this broad knowledge to each dog individually. 4PAWSHFX is looking for a full-time experienced and motivated individual to execute the wilderness pack walk program. The qualified individual has a love of dogs and is able to build a connection with dogs that promotes mutual respect, affection and most of all TRUST.
Responsibilities: the day-to-day activities may include pick up and drop off of client pets; execution of off-leash pack-walks on one of our many wilderness park walk locations; canine handling at the daycare and dog boarding facility.
Qualifications: the successful applicant will need a valid drivers license with a clean driving record. A company vehicle is provided during work-hours. Some experience with dogs and the ability to build a respectful relationship with animas is a requirement. The applicant will receive training and will be encouraged to pursue certification courses.
This is an entry level position, with room for advancement in the coming year towards a management position. A benefits package is available upon successful completion of a 6 month probation period. Criminal record check and vulnerable sector search are required as well.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $15.00-$20.00 per hour
